The holders, Tottenham, continued their defence by beating the competitions most prolific winners, Liverpool, to make it into the last eight – Qtr-final draw on Saturday.

Ronaldinho admits he is relishing the prospect of linking up with David Beckham at Milan.

Beckham is set to join Milan in January on a two-month loan from LA Galaxy as the MLS season takes a break.

“I was very happy when I heard he was coming to Milan,” Ronaldinho told the Daily Mirror. He’s going to help the team a lot.

“I want to help him be the best player he can be.

“Both of us have different styles. I can learn from him and improve my style as well. I want to celebrate loads of goals with Beckham.

“I’ve always liked the way he plays. It’s very cool to play with such important people, very motivating.”

The Brazilian also said he will share free-kick duties with Beckham at the San Siro.

“That’s not even a problem,” Ronaldinho said. “It might be a problem for the teams we’re playing against though.”

Ronaldinho also admitted he would be like to see Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo join him at Milan.

“He’s a great player. I really like to watch him play,” added Ronaldinho.

“Definitely, we would be stronger with him.”
