Brazil striker Ronaldo and former England captain David Beckham have been left out of Real Madrid’s squad for Tuesday’s Champions League match at home to Lyon.
Ronaldo strained the lateral ligament in his left knee in a King’s Cup match against Ecija 11 days ago while Beckham has not trained with the team for the past week because of brusing to his knee.
Midfielder Guti and Italy defender Fabio Cannavaro were both included in the squad despite picking up minor injuries during Saturday’s 3-1 win over Racing Santander.
