Rosenborg continued their domination of Norwegian football when they were crowned Norwegian champions for the 11th successive season at the weekend.

The Trondheim side drew 2-2 draw at Sogndal IL on Saturday, and the point was enough to retain the title as their closest contenders Molde FK lost 4-2 at Stabaek IF.

Coach Nils Arne Eggen, who retires this year after leading Rosenborg to ten of those championships, was delighted with another title.

“We are obviously very pleased, but right now our focus is on the Champions League game at Ajax on Tuesday,” Eggen said afterwards.
