Walter Samuel has dismissed reports claiming he could leave Real Madrid at the end of the season.

Sources in Italy claimed that Internazionale had made an approach for the central defender, and speculation increased when the player flew to Italy earlier in the week.

However, Samuel, who was jeered by Real fans in the 6-1 win over Albacete at the weekend, insists he wants to stay in Spain.

“It’s useless to say anything about my future,” he stated.

“I belong to Real Madrid and will continue at Real Madrid until they throw me out.

“I have come to Rome only because I had two days’ holiday, I have things to do here and I wanted to come and visit some old friends.”
