Middlesbrough have agreed to a shock transfer request from goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer.
The 33-year-old signed a new three-year deal with Boro in February, but he has now asked for a move.
Middlesbrough have now confirmed that the Aussie has asked to leave the club and they have placed him on the transfer list.
Boro boss Steve McClaren is known to be a big fan of Bolton’s Jussi Jaaskelainen and could make a move for the Finn – who himself is reported to be unsettled at The Reebok Stadium.
