Austrian first division side SV Ried have confirmed the resignation of Gerhard Schweitzer as coach following a run of poor results.
The club have appointed Klaus Roitinger as coach for the remainder of the season.
“Since the board no longer had absolute confidence in their trainer due to bad performances in the spring, Gerhard Schweitzer offered to resign,” Ried general manager Helmut Slezak said.
Ried have lost six and drawn one of their last seven league matces and lie in eighth place in the 10-team division.
