Luiz Felipe Scolari’s spokesman has played down reports linking the Brazilian with Manchester City.

Reports had claimed that were lining up former Chelsea boss, Scolari, as a replacement for current incumbent Mark Hughes

Scolari himself was quoted as saying he would like to manage in England again, which led to the links with City.

But Acaz Fellegger, Scolari’s spokesman insists no contact has been made with anyone.

“There is no contact with Manchester City,” he told the Guardian.

“Scolari has no intention of taking on another job during this season.

“He has no intention of doing anything before the end of May or June.

“Only after June will he decide his future. If he goes to work in another country in Europe he will move there. If he stays in England he will obviously stay there.”
