Scotland Goal of the Month competition for January includes a young Celtic fan with Down’s Syndrome among the nominees.

Celtic and Hamilton combined to give 11-year-old Jay Beatty a VIP day to remember at New Douglas Park.

This included allowing him to come on the pitch at half-time to score a goal from the penalty spot.

Hamilton, who lost the game 2-0, went as far as to include Jay’s effort in the final score, announcing a 3-0 Celtic victory on Twitter shortly afterwards.

The goal has now been included as part of the SPL’s Goal of the Month competition, with fans able to register a vote on the league’s YouTube channel.
