Serbia have been told that they could be docked points if there is further crowd trouble in their remaining World Cup qualifiers.

Fifa have already fined the country’s FA £26,700 for incidents in their matches against France, Austria and Romania, and now they have threatened to dock points if there is further trouble.

Serbia face Romania on Saturday and Lithuania four days later and any trouble could undermine Serbia’s chances of qualifying for South Africa next year.

“The Fifa disciplinary commission reminds the Serbian football federation that the recurrence of such incidents could lead to drastically more serious sanctions,” read a letter from Fifa on the Serbian federation’s website.

“And that includes the subtraction of points in the current qualifiers.”

Serbia are currently top of Group Seven, four points clear of France.
