Wesley Sneijder is expected to sign a new contract with Inter later this month, ending months of speculation about his future.

Sneijder was reportedly the subject of interest from Manchester United in the summer, and after contract negotiations stalled there was fresh talk of a bid from the Premier League club.

The Netherlands international is now expected to sign a new deal that will run until 2015 worth €6 million a year.

“This is my club,” Sneijder told Corriere dello Sport. “I am very happy here and in 15 days’ time I will complete the deal for my renewal.”

Last month Sneijder spoke about the possibility of playing for United,

”If somebody asks me if I will ever play for Manchester United, it’s impossible for me to say no,” he said. “How can you say that if the chance came you would not play for one of the biggest clubs in the world?”
