Wesley Sneijder’s move to Inter appears to be off after the player said he wanted to stay at at Real Madrid.
Reports indicated Inter were closing in on the signature of Sneijder as they look to bring in a playmaker.
However, Sneijder claims he is happy to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu and fight for his place.
“I still think that Real Madrid is the world’s best club to play for, although they might want to be rid of me,” Sneijder told his official website.
“But I’m not leaving the club before they ask me to do so.
“If I’m here September 1st, then the club cannot transfer me, and I know that I am a part of the coach’s plans.”
