The first game of the 2009/10 Premiership season sees Hull City face a daunting trip to Chelsea – can Ancelotti get off to a winning start?

Wesley Sneijder has again confirmed he would like to stay at Real Madrid and fight for a regular place.

The Dutch midfielder has been linked with a move to Inter for much of the summer and fresh reports claim an agreement has been reached between the two clubs.

Aston Villa manager Martin O’Neill also admitted earlier this month that he was interested in the 25-year-old.

However, Sneijder insists that he would like to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu and try to break into the side.

“I want to fight for my place at Real Madrid despite there being a lot of competition,” he told ATP.

“On Thursday I will be in Madrid again, so I will find out more then.

“I don’t want to leave Real. I know the transfer market is open for another two weeks but I am still thinking the same about things.”
