Belgium striker Wesley Sonck has left Ajax to join Borussia Moenchengladbach, the Dutch champions have confirmed.
Sonck will join the Bundesliga club on loan until July 1, 2005 and will sign a permanent deal provided the club aren’t relegated.
Ajax did not disclose the details of the deal, but according to reports in Germany, Moenchengladbach would pay Ajax a fee of about €4m for the 26-year-old striker.
Sonck scored 10 goals in 34 league matches for Ajax after joining the club in 2003.
