Defenders Mariano Pernia, Pablo Ibanez and Juanito have been recalled to the Spain squad for next week’s friendly international against Greece.

The trio will help cover for Barcelona captain Carles Puyol, Sevilla’s Javi Navarro and Villarreal’s Joan Capdevila all of whom are out injured.

“Pernia has been in good form for Atletico in pre-season and we always try to select the players that are in the best form,” Aragones told a news conference on Friday.

Real Madrid striker Roberto Soldado and full-back Angel, who plays for relegated Celta Vigo, have been left out of the squad.
