Premiership betting guru Simon Hopper is tipping Liverpool to see off Man City at Anfield on Monday nights

St. Pauli have been ordered to play their next home match in the Bundesliga behind closed doors after a fan threw a full plastic beer cup at a linesman last week.

The German football federation’s sport tribunal made the ruling Friday. St. Pauli has until Monday to appeal against the decision.

The Hamburg club is battling relegation, currently second from bottom of the Bundesliga with six games to play.

Last Friday’s home match against Schalke was abandoned in the 88th minute, with visiting Schalke leading 2-0. Schalke were later awarded the win by that score.

The German federation says St. Pauli were responsible for the incident because the cup was thrown by home fans.

It will be the first time in the Bundesliga’s history that a top-tier match in Germany will be played without fans.
