Lazio midfielder Dejan Stankovic looks set to stay at the club until the end of the season, while team-mate Sergio Conceicao has agreed to leave the club by mutual consent.

The Rome club denied that a deal has been done with Inter over the transfer of midfielder Dejan Stankovic.

“The situation is that Dejan Stankovic will stay at Lazio until June,” stated the player’s agent Vinicio Fioranelli.

Meanwhile, Portuguese international Conceicao, who was in his second stint spell at Lazio has been released.

The 29-year-old winger was keen to leave in order to gain regular football elsewhere to enhance his chances of representing Portugal at Euro 2004.
