Hertha Berlin have sacked coach Huub Stevens after Wednesday’s 6-1 DFB Cup thrashing Êby WerderÊBremen.

German media reports claim that the Dutchman was fired on Thursday morning, and the club have arranged a press conference for the afternoon.

Stevens joined Hertha from Schalke in June 2002. However, after two wins from 14 league games this season, the club are currently languishing in 17th place in the Bundesliga.
