Stoke City completed the signing of Middlesbrough forward Tuncay Sanli for £5million.
Turkey captain Tuncay joins former Middlesbrough team-mate Robert Huth at the Britannia Stadium after the Germany defender sealed his switch to Stoke from the Championship club on Thursday for £66million pounds.
“Tuncay is an exciting player with his pace and skill who will certainly get the crowd going,” Stoke manager Tony Pulis said.
Stoke chief executive Tony Scholes was delighted to have signed the pair.
“This is a fantastic transfer double for the club,” he told the club’s official website.
“We are delighted to bring a player of Tuncay’s quality to the club because he had attracted interest from a number of big clubs, as indeed had Huth.
“Therefore, this is a powerful statement of our intentions as we look to move the club forward.”
