Blackburn are close to completing the loan signing of Turkish striker Hakan Sukur.

Talks between the Ewood Park club and representatives of the player have been conducted and Sukur was present for Blackburn’s 2-1 win over Fulham at the weekend.

The experienced striker, who was a member of the Turkey team that reached the last four at the World Cup finals, was released by Serie A club Parma earlier in the season.

Sukur, 31, would link up with international colleague Tugay, who has impressed during his time with the club.

Meanwhile, Blackburn’s Italian-born striker, Corrado Grabbi, could be on his way out of Ewood Park, with a loan move to struggling Serie A club Reggina mooted.
