Italian midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi has extended his loan deal with Villarreal until the end of next season.
The 30-year-old joined Villarreal on a one-year loan from Juventus last July and has played an important part in their run to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Tacchinardi was booked during the 1-0 defeat by Arsenal on Wednesday and will miss next week’s second leg.
