Bundesliga strugglers Hertha Berlin have informed caretaker coach that he will be relieved of his duties following Tuesday’s 3-0 defeat to Koln.

“Andreas Thom has done a good job but his duty ended with the 3-0 defeat by Kon,” said Hoeness, referring to the result of Tuesday’s game that sent the capital club second from bottom of the standings.

Former Hertha player Thom was appointed on a caretaker basis on December 4 after Huub Stevens was sacked. Since he took over, results have not improved, with the club drawing two and losing one of the three matches in which he has selected the team.
