EURO 2004 Organisers have received more than 100,000 ticket enquiries for next year’s finals in Portugal.
Online requests for tickets, which went on sale last week have exceeded expectations, with more than 23,000 enquiries made so far, tournament organisers confirmed.
“These (purchases) are exceeding the most upbeat expectations,” Portuguese Soccer Federation Chairman Gilberto Madail told a news conference.
Requests for tickets had come from more than 30 countries, with the greatest the greatest volume coming from England, Germany and Holland.
A totalof 1.2 million tickets are available for the 31 games.
