Fernando Torres’ surgeon believes the striker could be back in action within six weeks.
The Liverpool striker has undergone surgery in an effort to cure a problem which has resulted in him enduring a stop-start campaign so far.
Dr Ramon Cugat, the specialist who operated on Torres in Barcelona, has confirmed that the cartilage surgery went welland sees no reason why the striker should not be back by the start of March.
“The surgery was a success and, if there are no problems, Fernando will be okay in six weeks,” he said in The Sun.
