Premiership strugglers Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for PSV midfielder Mark van Bommel.
The Dutch club have intimated that they would not stand the way of a player, who was expected to move abroad, prior to the depression in the transfer market.
The 26-year-old international is still recovering from groin surgery and is hoping to make a return to action at the end of the month, which may persuade Spurs to make a move in the summer rather than before the end of this month’s transfer window.
