Francesco Totti has dismissed speculation linking him with a move away from the Stadio Olimipico, and pledged his future to Roma.

Reports have suggested that Totti be bound for Real Madrid or Chelsea, arguably the only two clubs who could afford to buy the Italian playmaker.

However, Totto has reiterated his desire to stay in Rome.

‘I’ve a contract that expires in 2006,’ explained Totti.

‘I think it is my duty, as a good captain, to stay in the same place.

‘I shall leave only if the club gives me away.’
