Yaya Toure has reiterated his desire to stay at Barcelona after being linked with a switch to the Premier League.

The Ivory Coast international has dropped down the pecking order at Camp Nou and reports suggested he could leave during the January transfer window.

Toure understands that Manchester City and Arsenal are monitoring his situation, but claims he hopes to remain with the Catalan outfit for a long time to come.

“I have heard about interest from Manchester City and Arsenal but my future is at Barcelona,” he said in the Daily Mirror.

“I have spoken to the directors at the club, but I don’t want to leave and my only mission is to stay and be a success at the club.”
