Three coaches have lost their jobs in Brazil after their teams suffered defeat in the Brazilian championship.

Joel Santana was fired by Internacional after a 3-1 defeat by Fluminense, Cricuma’s Vagner Benazzi was sacked following a 4-0 home defeat loss to Sao Caetano and Cuca left Sao Paulo following their 3-2 defeat by Coritiba.

That brings to 29 the numberof coaches who have lost their jobs since the competition started at the end of April.

Santana, who was sacked by Guarani just five games into the competition, become the third coach to leave Internacional since the start of the championship.

The Porto Alegre club named Muricy Ramalho, who himself left the club in January, as his successor.

Both Criciuma, who are 14th, and seventh-place Sao Paulo changed coaches for the first time in this year’s competition.
