Blackburn striker Hakan Sukur has earned a recall to the Turkish squad for the vital EURO 2004 qualifier against England.

The qualifier in Sunderland on April 2, could well determine which country tops Group 7 and coach Senol Gunes has named an experienced squad to face England.

Hakan, who has been out of the national side since the World Cup finals, earns a recall despite barely playing this season, following a leg break suffered shortly after his move to Ewood Park in December. Prior to his move to England, the former Galatasaray striker was without a club after being released by Parma.
