Arsenal head to the Riverside this Saturday lunchtime knowing that they’ve only beaten Boro once in their last six head-to-heads.

Maxim Pashayev, captain of Ukraine’s under-21 national side, has died of injuries suffered in a car accident.

His club, Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, said Pashayev skidded off an icy road into a ditch on Thursday. He died later in hospital.

Pashayev, 20, played 46 matches in Ukraine’s Premier League, including 17 for Dnipro.
