According to reports in Spain, Valencia have joined Barcelona in the chase for Arsenal midfielder Edu.
The Brazilian has refused to sign a new deal with The Gunners and in January he is free to open negotiations with another club.
Barcelona have lined with a move foir Edu when the transfer window reopens as they look to bring in a defensive midfielder to ease their injury problems.
Marca claim that Valencia have already contacted Edu to sound him out about a transfer.
The newspaper claims that Valencia are now preparing to dispatch one of their medical staff, Antonio Giner, to London to check the player has fully recovered from a knee injury.
