Valencia striker David Villa has admitted he would like to play in the Premier League.
Chelsea and Tottenham have both been monitoring the Spanish international forward, according to reports in the English press.
Avram Grant’s side side could on the look-out for a new striker if, as reported, Didier Drogba moves during the summer. Meanwhile, Spurs forward Dimitar Berbatov has been the subject of intense speculation, which could create a striking vacancy at White Hart Lane.
Villa said: “I am happy at the interest within the Premier League and this is my dream if I leave Spain.”
Valencia sporting director Miquel Angel Ruiz added: “If we receive a formal offer, we’ll study it.”
