Aston Villa have signed defender Zat Knight on a four-year deal.
Knight, 27, signed a new three-year deal with the Cottagers in the summer but Fulham manager Lawrie Sanchez accepted a £3.5m offer from Villa.
Knight joins Olof Mellberg, Martin Laursen and Gary Cahill in the competition for a centre-back slot.
Knight was originally signed by Kevin Keegan for Fulham in 1999 and has played for England at under-21 and senior level.
