Johann Vogel remains hopeful of completing a switch to Everton.
The Swiss midfielder has held talks with Everton over a possible move to Goodison Park, but the deal has been held up because of complications with his current club, Real Betis.
Betis insist that Vogel will only leave on a permanent deal whereas Everton are looking for a loan move.
The player’s agent Angelo Semeraro is confident a compromise can be reached to allow Vogel to join the Premiership outfit.
“We are waiting to see if we can agree a deal with Betis,” Semeraro told skysports.com.
“Things have been held up on their side.
“We have had a good proposition from Everton and I am very optimistic about the move to Everton.
“Johan is keen to come to England and Everton are in the Uefa Cup next season.”
