Arsene Wenger has agreed a new three-year deal at Arsenal, according to reports.

Wenger, whose current contract expires at the end of the seasson, is set to make an announcement on his future on Friday.

The Frenchman’s future at Arsenal has been the subject of speculation since former vice-chairman, and close confidante of Wenger, David Dein, was ousted in a boardroom struggle earlier this year.

Earlier this week, Wenger intimiated he would stay despite the departure of Dein.

“What I think when I’m negotiating the deal is whether I have the freedom to work the way I want to,” he said.

“I always had that with David Dein and, since David has gone, I still have it.

“That is, for me, the most important thing. There will be news on the contract next week.”

Arsenal have been locked in talks with Wenger for the last few months and it is understood an agreement has finally been reached.
