Arsene Wenegr has confirmed that he is not interested in filling the managerial vacancy at Real Madrid.
The Arsenal manager has been linked with the post ever since Wanderley Luxemburgo was fired on Sunday, although he has now ruled himself out of the running.
“It is an attractive job certainly to everyone who has no job! But, on the other hand, it looks to be not a stable job,” he admitted.
“When rotation within a club becomes too quick, that means the problem doesn’t always lie with the manager, but somewhere else.
“I’m under contract until 2008 and I always try to respect my contract. That’s not disrespectful to Real Madrid or anyone else, it’s just my line of conduct.
“I love Real Madrid as a club, they were the club of my childhood when they won the European Cup five times in five years but I’m 100 percent committed to Arsenal and I want to do the job well for as long as my contract lasts.”
Former Deportivo La Coruna coach Javier Irureta is now the bookies’ favourite to replace Luxemburgo, with Milan boss Fabio Capello and former Lyon coach Paul Le Guen also in the running.
