West Ham have completed the loan signing of veteran striker Les Ferdinand from Tottenham.

The deal will see the 36-year-old former England forward move to Upton Park until the end of the season.

The Hammers plan toput the 36-year-old striker in their squad to face Charlton at the Valley on Wednesday.

Ferdinand has struggled to find a place in Spurs’ first team since Glenn Hoddle’s signed Robbie Keane from Leeds earlier in the season.

The former QPR and Newcastlestriker joined Tottenham in 1997 œ6m, but much of his time at White Hart Lane has been spent on the treatment desk.
