Lazio striker Mauro Zarate’s agent Jose Alberti has insisted that the player is staying at the club.
The Argentinian has been instrumental in the club’s surprise rise to the top of Serie A so far this season
The 23-year-old has been linked with a move to some of Europe’s biggest clubs, with Arsenal, Manchester City and Barcelona all reportedly interested in his services.
Alberti however dismissed the rumours, stating that the Biancocelesti will be keeping Zarate.
“Zarate doesn’t move from Rome. He is well and the president (Claudio) Lotito doesn’t want to sell him,” Alberti told tuttomercatoweb.
“He is followed by Sevilla but Manchester City and Barcelona are also interested in him.
“I think if he would leave Lazio, City will be the most likely hypothesis.”
