Despite reports to the contrary, Ronaldo’s agent is confident that Real Madrid will sign the Brazlian before the transfer deadline on August 31.

Earlier today, Inter president Massimo Moratti maintained that Ronaldo would be staying at the San Siro but according to the player’s agent, Alexandre Martins, a deal that sees the Brazilian head to Madrid, will be be sorted out in the next fortnight.

“I have to receive a phone call from Europe in the next few days and I am sure that Inter and Real Madrid will soon reach an agreement for doing the transfer of Ronaldo,” said Martins.

“I was told that board members of both clubs had a meeting last Friday and they will try to hurry up everything because they don’t have much more time.”

Ronaldo is currently preparing for Brazil’s friendly against Paraguay on Wednesday. Martins, though, admitted there was a possibility that Ronaldo could be heading to Madrid rather than Milan on the plane back to Europe.

“After the match between Brazil and Paraguay, Ronaldo will travel back to Europe and he needs to know what will be hisfuture,’ Matins added.

“At the moment he has an airline ticket for Italy, but we will haveto see if in the next days he has to change it.”

According to reports in Spain, Inter have asked Real for €45 million euros plus Fernando Morientes and Santiago Solari for Ronaldo, while Real are offering the same players plus €30 million.
