Spain coach Luis Aragones has confirmed he and Sergio Ramos had a row in training on Friday, but played down the significance of the clash.

Ramos was reportedly angry after Aragones suggested that he needed to his attitude.

The Real Madrid defender had to be calmed down by Spain team-mate Carlos Marchena, but Aragones claimed the incident would not affect the unity within the camp.

“We were talking about things that affected the team and he expressed his opinion that’s all,” Aragones told Spanish state television.

“There is an extraordinary unity in this group. The thing is, because everything is going so smoothly, things like this get picked up when they are not important.”.

“We exchanged views. There are a few things which I can pass on to him through my experience.

“You are a better footballer when you have more order in all respects.

“He is a great person but at times he has done some things he shouldn’t and we’ve talked about it.”
