Uruguayan goalkeeper Fabian Carini’s loan move to Arsenal from Italian Serie A side Juventus is in danger of collapsing as the parties are unable to agree personal terms.
“He has not yet been registered because he has not yet signed his contract,” Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admitted to The Evening Standard newspaper.
The highly-rated 22-year-old – who played in all three of his country’s matches at the 2002 World Cup – was thought to have signed for the English champions on July 26 and was even pictured with Wenger holding an Arsenal shirt.
“We were under the impression that personal terms had been agreed but that has turned out not to be the case,” said Wenger.
“We will know in the next 48 hours if the matter will be resolved. But I have to say I am not optimistic and if he returns to Juventus then I have a problem.”

Wenger agreed to sell second choice keeper RichardWright to Everton earlier in the summer, presumably because he believed the Carini deal was already nailed down.
