Former Stuttgart manager Markus Babbel says he has been approached by Hertha Berlin and is considering an offer to become their new coach.
Babbel was fired by Stuttgart in December, and was recently linked with the job of assistant coach at Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.
However, an offer from relegated Hertha seems to have captured his interest.
“Hertha have a good reputation and are a club with a tradition,” he told Tagesspiegel. “The decisive thing is what kind of perspectives there are.
“All I can say is that I did have a chat with them a few days ago and they asked me if I would be willing to consider working there. I said that I would.”
Berlin are looking for a new coach after Friedhelm Funkel’s contract was not renewed following their relegation.
