Carlos Bianchi is to return as coach of Boca Junors.
Bianchi will replace the Uruguayan Oscar Washington Tabarez, who was on a six-month contract.
Bianchi, who was coach of Boca from 1998 to 2001 when they won the Libertadores Cup twice and the World Club Cup, has agreed a three-year deal.
The decision to re-appoint Bianchi was taken by the club’s executive committee on Saturday. It ends speculation linking him with high-profile coaching jobs in Europe.
