Birmingham have signed Spanish international Borja Oubina from Celta Vigo on a one-year loan deal.
The 25-year-old has ignored overtures from Benfica and Manchester City over the last week but now Birmingham have concluded a deal.
“I’m happy because I’m going to play in such a powerful and attractive league as the English one,” Oubina told Spanish news agency Efe.
“It’s true that I would have liked Celta to transfer me and not go out on loan but the club didn’t want that.”
