Premiership side Bolton have confirmed they are negotiating to bring Brazilian World Cup winner Rivaldo to the club.
The 32-year-old Rivaldo, who left Milan last year after failing to establish a first team place, had a short spell with Cruzeiro in Brazil, but is currently a free agent and could sign for the club in the coming days.
Bolton confirmed in a statement: “The club are holding ongoing talks with the player.”
Rivaldo’s arrival would represent quite a coup for the ambitious Premier League club who have already lured French World Cup winner, Youri Djorkaeff, and Nigerian star Jay-Jay Okocha.
The Brazilian’s arrival could well signal the end for Okocha at Bolton. The Nigerian playmaker has stallled over new contract negotiations.
