Cagliari have appointed Franco Colomba as the club’s new coach.
Cagliari president Massimo Cellino sacked Marco Giampaolo in the wake of Saturday’s 3-1 defeat to Udinese.
Colomba has previously been in charge at Livorno, Napoli, Reggina and Salernitana.
Although Cagliari have won just twice in the league this season, they lie 13th in the table, having lost only four of their 16 matches.
