Mauro Camoranesi could be set to leave Juventus after his agent failed to secure a contract extension for his client.

Camoranesi’s current deal ends in two years’ time, but the talian World Cup winner is seeking to prolong his contract for a further 12 months.

“I am disappointed and bitter,” said Camoranesi’s agent Sergio Fortunato after a meeting with Juve director Alessio Secco.

“At this point we must look for a way out, because on these terms Mauro cannot stay with Juve.

“We are talking about one of the best midfielders in the world, a World Cup winner who has helped Juve win promotion back to Serie A.

“This won’t do and Juve are mistaken if they think he will see out his contract.”

Camoranesi, 30, was signed by Juventus in a co-ownership deal with Verona in 2002 before Juve bought him outright a year later.
