Roma chief Fabio Capello and captain Francesco Totti are urging fans not to count their chickens before they have hatched despite topping the Serie A table at the midway point of the season.
Capello told fans: “It has been a very good season so far, but we can’t afford to let our guard down at any stage. “We have to keep up the good work in the next half of the season in order to win the Scudetto.”
Starman Totti, who has been in scintillating form this season, echoed Capello’s sentiments.
“Both Milan and Juventus will make our life difficult until the very end and therefore we have to continue with the same determination that we have shown so far,” said the Roma skipper.
Roma are currently sitting pretty at the top of Serie A with a three point lead on their nearest rivals after losing only match and conceding just 7 goals in 17 games.
