Barcelona’s Champions League hopes have received a setback with the news that midfielder Philip Cocu is likely to be out of action for around two months because of a knee injury.

The Dutch international damaged a ligament in his left knee after colliding with Inter defender Javier Zanetti in last night’s Champions League match.

Cocu, who is still undergoing tests to discover the extent of the injury, is expected miss the remainder of his side’s second-phase matches as well as both legs of the quarter-finals.

Barcelona’s draw in Milan means they only need a point from their last two group matches to be sue of qualifying for the knockout stages.
