Leeds United midfielder Olivier Dacourt could be the first to leave Elland Road as new manager Terry Venables sets about reducing the club’s debt.

One of Venables’ first tasks at Leeds is to raise £15million from the sale of existing players and Dacourt has long been tipped for a move away from the Premiership side to Serie A.

The Frenchman is a target for Juventus and talks have begun between the two clubs about a possible £10 million deal.

The 27-year-old was offered the chance to join Lazio earlier in the year, but he rejected this saying that he would only join Juventus.

Furthermore, there is a real possibility of Edgar Davids leaving Juve in the near future, leaving a great opportunity for Dacourt to win a establish himself in the starting eleven.

Lee Bowyer is another player expectedto leave Elland Road in the near future with Liverpool confirming their interest in the £9million-rated midfielder.
