Inter have been fined 70,000 Swiss francs (£32,400) by UEFA for crowd trouble at their Champions League game against Newcastle United in March.

European football’sruling body said Inter fans had thrown missiles on to the pitch and into the section reserved for Newcastle fans and let off fireworks at the San Siro stadium during the match in Milan on March 11.

Patrick Vieira 5,000 Swiss francs (£2300) for suggesting that UEFA did nothing to combat racism following Arsenal’s Champions League game against Valencia on March 19.

“Vieira had said that UEFA was not actively dealing with racist offences,” UEFA said in a statement.

Valencia were fined 20,000 Swiss francs (£9200) “for the racist abuse of black players by their supporters at the same match”, UEFA added.
